Octagonal wooden tower once clad with panels but now merely a frame 4m; open doorway in one face. Wide shelf across width of tower about 3m above the ground, doubtless the lantern support. Now roofless. Rusty cast-iron cabinet bolted to outside of frame
Described in Admiralty list of 1930 as
"red tower, white dome, 15 feet" (4.5m)
We know this was a lighthouse because the chart says so!

Publ. 114 equates A2915.5 to 114-2395, and describes the light as leading front, 1/2, no height or range, on pole on dolphin. It goes on to show a corresponding rear light, 114-2395.1, Oc/5, no height or range. Finally, it mentions in passing a QY close by as occasional. Michael suggests that all these indications are best ignored.
